DOLORES' 2STREET
PERFECTION IN MUMMERLAND
If you could imagine the perfect South Philly cheesesteak venue, what would it be?
How about a charming shop on South 2nd Street (better known as “2 Street”) in the heart of Philadelphia Mummers territory – indeed, just a few steps from the Fralinger String Band clubhouse?
How about a place owned and operated by two generations of an accomplished South Philly restaurant family, and named in honor of the family’s beloved culinary matriarch?
How about a kitchen that serves up not only amazing cheesesteaks, but hoagies that were named “Best in Philly” by Philadelphia magazine, and outstanding roast pork sandwiches as well?
How about an eatery that is not only popular with neighborhood residents but earned enthusiastic praise from the Philadelphia Inquirer’s noted food critic Craig LaBan?
Dolores’ 2Street is all this and more. In 2020, Nick and Maria Miglino, who had previously owned South Philly’s famed upscale restaurant Felicia’s, joined forces with their son Peter and his then-girlfriend (and now fiancée) Victoria to establish Dolores’ 2Street, where every sandwich is served on fabulous bread from Sarcone’s Bakery and incorporates decades of superb culinary expertise.
As you might expect, Dolores’ 2Street displays Mummers photos, badges, and ribbons. The Miglino family is purchasing the building and looking forward to welcoming guests to a newly remodeled space in the near future. But why wait? Why not visit Dolores' 2Street and have your delicious steak today?
